With the HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN development, BUWOG, in cooperation with Ten Brinke, is currently constructing 958 rental apartments in the Berlin-Spandau district, of which the first 300 units are to be completed following three years of construction. BUWOG Immobilien Treuhand GmbH is now beginning with the rentals.
At Saatwinkler Damm the finishing touches are now being made, the grounds are being planted, and then the new residents can arrive: the total of 958 one-to-five-room new apartments are planned for a wide range of groups of people, from students to families and the elderly. All of the apartments are designed as rentals. 191 of them are rent-controlled, one third of them barrier-free. All of the apartments have large balconies, terraces or rooftop terraces.
The first apartments will be ready for occupancy as of November. Rentals are beginning now through BUWOG Immobilien Treuhand. Information on the available rental units can be found at www.halske-sonnengaerten.buwog.com
Petra Langemann, managing director of BUWOG Immobilien Treuhand GmbH: “We are delighted about our responsibility for the initial rentals in the HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN project. The well-thought-out floor plans of the various apartment types and their embedding in an attractive, green development at Saatwinkler Damm in Spandau will make living here something quite exceptional for our tenants.”
The name of the development, HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN, recalls the industrial history of Berlin. Engineer and businessman Johann Georg Halske (1814-1890) was one of the founding members of the Berlin Physical Society. Together with Werner von Siemens he founded the Telegraph Construction Company of Siemens & Halske (Telegraphen-Bauanstalt von Siemens & Halske) in Berlin in 1847.
